TikTok user reveals her curves are ‘too annoying’ at work

One woman claimed she was told at two separate jobs for dressing “inappropriately” even though she always wore smart business attire – because her natural curves were deemed too “disruptive”.

Nina Osegueda took to TikTok to share a clip of herself wearing the black knee-length dress that would be a common sight to see women wearing in office work, and said that no matter how well she dresses for work, she is always reprimanded for her appearance because of her figure.

In the clip, another TikTok user says: “Tell me something work has taught you that you will never forget.”

And Nina later added: “I learned that no matter how well I dress, my body is so distracting that I will never dress appropriately enough for the workplace.

“Sorry about that!”

In the video caption, which was posted under the username @ninaosegueda, the woman later confirmed that she had been spoken to about her attire at two different jobs.

She wrote: “I was reprimanded twice in 2 different offices for dressing ‘inappropriately’. It’s just my form.”

Nina – who is from the US and is a singer in the heavy metal band A Sound of Thunder – also later uploaded a second video in which she explains what happened in more detail and accuses a boss of calling her outfit “too sexy” for the event. workplace.

She said: “The first time it happened, I worked as a software trainer where I taught Adobe people. I was laid off, and the person who fired me – the manager – told me I was dressed ‘too sexy’.

“The second time it happened, I was working in the office at [Washington] DC and a female office manager told a coworker that I was wearing a ‘club dress’. It was a knee-length dress that didn’t even fit. It just fits on the waist, doesn’t fit on the hips like the dresses in my other videos.

“So I’ve gotten it twice and it’s all while wearing very proper office attire, and that’s just my shape.”

Commenters on Nina’s videos couldn’t believe her past employer’s cheeks, with many insisting that the blame shouldn’t be placed on her for having curves.

One person said: “No, it’s absolutely not your fault!”

While another added: “I’m sorry people can’t keep their eyes on themselves so they blame you.”

And another person posted: “Isn’t it wild that some people act like you who don’t deserve to just have bodies, and they completely ignore the fact that they have to adjust the way they see women’s bodies?

“And look at the horrible work environment they promote, that men have no self-control and therefore women should be punished for something they really can’t help and shouldn’t be a problem with.”
